Abstract: The authors propose the use of colored generalized stochastic Petri nets (CGSPN) as a tool for performance modeling of integrated systems. They also make use of neutral tokens and extend the CGSPN by introducing the concept of priority firings for different colors. They show that the underlying stochastic process of the extended CGSPN is still Markovian and numerical solutions can be obtained by a software package.
