Abstract: There have been a number of proposals for the integration of object-oriented capabilities into the Petri Net formalism. These proposals have demonstrated benefits for modelling, simulation and code generation. However, little has been said about analysis, particularly the use of state space methods, which are so prominent in Petri Net research and application. This talk will consider the impact of object oriented capabilities on state space analysis.
