Abstract: Timed Petri nets are used to construct and analyze a mathematical model of parallel computation in distributed multiprocessor systems. Each place in an M-schema is interpreted as a processor that executes a certain operator (a program) and the firing of transitions is interpreted as input/output (exchange) of data.
Keywords: M-scheme (for) macropipelined computation; timed net; parallel computation; distributed multiprocessor system.
