Chandrakant Bothe successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "Conversational Language Learning for Human-Robot Interaction" on 18th Nov 2020. The thesis describes novel analytical approaches and findings in terms of socio-linguistic cues such as emotion, sentiment and politeness using conversational analysis and language learning. The research demonstrates how such socio-linguistic signals help modify different behaviours by social robots for natural and safer human-robot interaction.
