Abstract: The development process used three modelling tools, Network II.5, the Architecture Design and Assessment System (ADAS) and the Very High Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL). The final goal of this effort was a VHDL model of the system level architecture for the proposed space surveillance signal processing system. Network II.5 is a high level modeling system that provides valuable timing data. ADAS is a Petri-net-based modeling system where functional simulation of a node is provided by user software. VHDL is a hardware description language that allows system modeling at many different levels.
