Abstract/German
Der Slot ist in 2 Phasen aufgeteilt:
Phase 1: Michael Spricht über verschiedene Methoden um den Stromverbrauch unter Linux & Windows zu reduzieren. (Habe leider keinen Apple zum testen der Methoden use at your own risk). Einige Optionen können dabei auch positive Nebeneffekte auf die Performance und Thermischen Eigenschaften des Systems haben.
Phase 2: Ihr versucht mithilfe eines vom Beamer angeworfenden Cheats sheets die in Phase 1 angesprochenden Methoden auf euren System umzusetzen. Dabei werden wir uns gegenseitig helfen um unsere Arbeitsgeräte noch effektiver nutzen zu können um die Umwelt vllt ein wenig mehr zu schonen (Weniger Strom, Weniger Akku abnutzung)
Abstract/English
This workshop is divided into 2 phases:
Phase 1: Michael speaks about diffrent methods to reduce the power consumption under Linux and Windows. Some of those Options may have also a positive effect on your overall system performance and may reduce the thermals of your system.
Phase 2: You will try to make use of those methods with the help of a cheat sheet presented on the beamer to reduce your own systems power consumption. The goal is to help each other out to use our working devices more effectivly. Good reason to it is also the reduced inpact to the enviroment due to less stress on the battery and lesser energy requirements of your System.
