Scope

Objects, components, and agents are the fundamental units to organise models. They are also fundamental concepts of the modelling process. Even though they are used intensively in software engineering, the relations and potential mutual enhancements between Petri nets and the three paradigms have not been sufficiently investigated. Therefore, the workshop addresses all relations between Petri nets on the one hand and objects, components, and agents on the other hand with respect to modelling in general. The intention is to gather research and application directions to have a lively mutual exchange of ideas, knowledge, view points, and experiences. The goals are to apply concepts of objects, components, and agents to improve building Petri net models (from theoretical and practical perspectives), and to apply Petri nets in the modelling of complex systems based on the three paradigms mentioned above.

Topics

Contributions describing original research in topics related to Petri nets in combination with object-orientation, components, or agents addressing open problems or presenting new ideas regarding the relation of Petri nets and the three paradigms are sought. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Invited Speaker: Fabrice Kordon

We are delighted to announce a presentation by Fabrice Kordon.
He is Professor and head of the Cooperative and Distributed Systems Group at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 of the University Pierre and Marie Curie.
The title of his talk is Petri Nets and Model Based Development

Please note that you do neither have to pay for the full 5 day programme nor the 3 day conference unless you want to! If you only want to attend the MOCA workshop you only have to register for it. The early registration fee (before May, 15) are 100 Euro, the late registration fee (after May, 15) are 150 Euro.

Submissions

The program committee invites submissions of full contributions (10 - 20 pages) or short contributions (up to 5 pages). For your submission in PostScript or PDF format please use the online conference management system at

Please use the LaTeX document class svmult.cls for your contributions. Please also use BibTeX for your references (in particular for the final papers). An up-to-date version of svmult.cls together with extensive documentation can be found at

Accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings which will appear as a technical report of the Department of Computer Science, University of Hamburg, and which will be available at the workshop.

The submissions will be evaluated by the international programme committee.
It is planned to publish post proceedings after a further review process in a book, dedicated to the workshop topics.
